Build a CPLD dev board

Check out these two tutorials on how to build a simple CPLD dev board and an introduction to Verilog found on pyroelectro.com.

The dev board is quite sparse, but could be a really good base for a series of tutorials on how to work with programmable logic.

Alright, it's really time for me to get started with programmable logic. Verilog actually doesn't look too difficult to learn. Pyroelectro looks like a pretty cool site. It's a great name!

Handy tutorial as I've gotten interested into CPLDs lately. (I've got my notes at http://code.rancidbacon.com/LearningAboutFPGA if you're interested in FPGA/CPLD/Verilog links.)

I also found a similar design for a Xilinx chip: http://www.geocities.com/leon_heller/pld_starter.html

I found www.FPGA4fun.com to a really good resource when I was learning Verilog. The gun that runs the site also sells some pretty cheap FPGA development boards that are fun to play with.

Thanks for the positive feedback s1axter.

I've also got a more general collection of electronics-related links at http://code.rancidbacon.com/Electronics that others have found useful.

BTW your comment form entry doesn't keep the comment in the form when the verification number is missed out.

Not only that, but it also somehow prevents the "back button" caching of the entry as well, so I had to retype my last post.
