Windows 2000 isn't cool enough

(I know this is probally a little dated, and everyone knows it, but it's news to me...)

It seems that Windows 2000 isn't cool enough to get Internet Explorer 7. Not that I really want IE7, but I would like to know if the program that is being pushed ( http://it.slashdot.org/it/06/07/27/0141207.shtml ) to the entire windows community is going to render the site like crap. The minimum requirements for IE7 are Windows XP SP2, Windows XP x64, or Windows Server 2003 SP1. Why?

If you have ever read my news on here you should know I really don't care for Microsoft, from a tech point of view, most of their products are shoddy, from a personal point of view, I think they are evil. That aside, Windows 2000 is the best thing to come out of big-ole-moneybags. It runs smooth, it doesn't try and do everything for you. I personally would love it if the world ran Windows 2000. But alas, it cannot and people are stuck, forced to upgrade or get left behind.

Later all :-P
