EEP: Linux EEPROM Programmer

Check out this Open Source EEPROM burner package. This project has info on both the hardware and software required to build your own personal Linux based EEPROM burner. The schematic doesn't look too complex and if you have all the parts, some wire-wrap and a weekend you too could have your own EEPROM burner.

Build this EEPROM burner, the Parallel PIC programmer we mentioned before, this AVR controlled power supply and a soundcard Oscilloscope and you have your very own DIY lab!

This would save me so much time! I currently will toggle the address and data busses by hand when I need to program an EEPROM. The ASCII schematic is just plain cool as well!

By hand? that must take a ton of time just to load some simple data.
